Daily IT Style Recap: January 6-7, 2022

Happy new year to you all! Yes, I am still alive, and I am back. Vacation was really great. I didn’t travel anywhere, so it was nice to have three weeks off to just chill out and recharge. It was invigorating. 🙂

As you might have noticed, I was only able to get outfit pictures for two days this week. Monday, there was a snowstorm in the morning, and we had lost power. I worked from home on Tuesday thanks to said Monday snowstorm, and on Wednesday, there was too much ice on the top level of the parking garage for me to be able to safely take any pictures. Boo.

You might have also noticed that my pictures look a bit differently. Just before (and during) my long vacay, I found some REALLY great apps to help me out. I have been SUPER impressed with each of them. If you want to check them out for yourself, these are the apps I’m using:

  • Pixelmator Photo (cropping/editing) – this app has made it SUPER easy to edit and crop my pictures. It uses machine learning to determine the best settings, all at the press of a single button. It’s like magic. I even decided to crop my photos differently this year, and I love how they look.
  • Focos (background blurring) – another magical app. It also uses AI (pronounced ‘black magic’) to determine the subject of a picture, and blurs out everything else. You can even tap around a picture to change the subject.
  • Afterlight (adding text) – this app does a lot more than just text, but it’s the only thing I use it for, because the other apps do everything else I need.

Okay, back to the pictures. Here is a look at what I wore to work the last two whole days. I hope you enjoy. Hopefully next week will be better, in that I’ll be able to capture looks for all five days. 🙂

Have a great weekend!
